ABOUT MIRANDA

Miranda Summers-Pritchard has been involved in music education for 30 years. She holds a Degree in Music and Education, a DipABRSM in piano teaching and is a Registered Private Teacher with the ISM. She has worked as a piano teacher both from home and as a visiting peripatetic teacher in schools.

Miranda is also a fully qualified teacher and worked for 17 years as a specialist music teacher at a local school for children with learning difficulties, gaining a wealth of experience in working with children with complex needs.

As well as playing the piano and having Grade 8 and Diploma-level performance qualifications, Miranda plays the saxophone and cello to a competent level.

Miranda is a member of the Incorporated Society of Musicians.

Miranda enjoys a second career in editorial services, working as a proofreader/copy editor and has also authored a novel.

When not working, Miranda looks after her children, listens to podcasts (mostly about true crime) and enjoys a nice long run, especially when accompanied by her dog!
